Some of the poems below were written many years ago.  Because they hold a special place in my heart, the hearts of those special people, and are a part of me, I wanted to include them on my website.  I will still write poetry on occasion when I am touched by an event, a person, or an experience.  I've written since I was a small child.  As I grow older, I find joy in writing and hope to pursue this and other creative outlets in the future.
